As soon as we were put at a table, the balloon man came along and asked us what we would like. I got a ladybug.
The balloon man twisted shapes quicker than I could think!
Sharon got a purple flower with a red heart in the center.
We were served a big plate of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, corn, cranberry sauce…with pickles, olives, rolls, pie and cookies. There was a huge list of beverage choices. I picked hot chocolate and water. Everybody there to serve us was fantastic. We had a really good time and left stuffed!
I created a stir on my way out. My sleeve caught on the wheelchair control and I was a fraction of an inch from accidentally tumbling down the church steps out front. I screamed like a girl :-p
Adrenaline got me home. I was very surprised to find my blood sugar was only at 133. I pigged out. I am soooooo tired!
In all fairness, I should mention that the stomper still woke me up before 7 AM, but she seems to be using some restraint in her stomping and slamming. I continue to pray that she be overcome with happiness and the urge to be mellow 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
