Good thing I set the alarm on my phone. I got up at 5 AM for meds, then went back to sleep. I was startled awake by an alarm at 9:30. Took a shower and was out the door by 10 for my 11 AM appointment with my lawyer. I got there 10 minutes early π
We spent an hour talking about the upcoming pre-hearing that will be with the administrative law judge. I was a bit taken aback by how hard the idiot neuro has worked to deny my IVIg. It creeps me out that I have to go to these lengths to get medical care. Aren’t docs supposed to help? Now they are just employees of the insurance companies π¦ I shed way too many tears. But….my lawyer was absolutely wonderful, insightful and empathetic. It was shocking to be cared about.
I left there and got off TRAX at Temple Square. I took lots of pictures! I wandered around the visitor center and a sister missionary from the Philippines came over to talk. We had some deep conversations. As I was leaving the building, she ran after me and asked for my hand. She took it in hers and touched my hand to her forehead. That’s called “mano po”. It’s done to show respect for elders. I thought that was soooooooooo cool! She did it with great respect. I found a blog post about mano po.
I got outside and was fishing for my camera and sunglasses when 2 sister missionaries said hi. Obviously God put all 3 sister missionaries in my path. We also had some deep discussions. They hugged me π Meeting those women, what we talked about and how I felt was an incredible spiritual experience. I really needed that after the lawyer appointment.
I bopped around the Temple Square flower beds and then I went around the temple. Yet another sister missionary stopped me….but she was older than me. It was another good experience π And all of the women told me how much they loved me and that God loves me. I love hearing sincerely spoken words π
I went in Deseret Books to try to find a poster. They didn’t have what I was looking for. So….I got brave and went in to get measured for special garments. I have outgrown the ones they carry in stock. I paid for 2 tops and 2 bottoms and they will be shipped to me when they are made. A woman there told me stuff about her family, then blushed and said she didn’t know why she was telling me that. We had a good talk. She also told me how important I am to God. I left smiling π
Got on TRAX and came home. I was sooooooo stiff and sore and just plain spent. After resting a few hours, I made a video with a different device and uploaded it to YouTube in a different way. Ingrid helped me by checking on my work π As far as I know, I did it right, eventually :-p Let me know if you cannot see the video.
Today was like yesterday. I left home without eating. By the time I got home, I was starving. I had much the same, but instead of a sweet potato, I had English muffins.
