I woke up with a start at 4:30 AM. As I went over to turn off the oxygen concentrator, my nose started dripping. I figured it was allergies. When I got to the lit up bathroom, I about fainted. There was blood all down my chest and all over my arms and undergarments. I started to gag and spit in the sink. Blood, blood, everywhere 😮 That’s when I realized what was dripping out of my nose was blood.
My left sinus/nostril has bright red blood flowing out. Geeze! When Heather was a kid, she often had bloody noses. Not me. It’s scary to wake up like that! I’m starting to calm down now. But….as the focus shifts from my nose to the rest of me, I realize my chest hurts like crazy. My neck, too.
Gosh….not even 8 AM and a fire truck and ambulance have already been here and are gone. I wonder who it was this time? I’m feeling guilty for still being alive. I know that’s stupid. I wish I felt better! Lot’s of buzz about all the people who either died or were hospitalized this week. Not sure who to believe. One woman I talk to all the time was hit by a car 😮 She’s in the hospital.
Later in the morning, I was going to shower, but decided I was too weak. Instead I put on clean undergarments and clothes and called it good enough. I had already washed the blood spots off my top, but when I took it all the way off, I discovered a pool of blood under my left boob. I about fainted again. I cannot figure that out. What was bleeding? Why? What the heck is going on with me?
Heather and family were here a few hours this morning, then Heather and the kids came back for a while this afternoon while Luke had quiet time at the hotel. His guts don’t feel well. Mine have been acting up, too. Tonight I have a wicked sore throat. Oh, oh. But….this afternoon I feel a heck of a lot better than yesterday! 🙂 I figure my health could go either way right now.
Heather went shopping and came home with a present for me 🙂 She bought some fresh flowers. Nice!
We did a project. We took turns going through my cupboards. I directed which things were to stay and what should go to the free table. We filled 2 carts with canned goods, dried rice, beans and other assorted things. Fletcher made a sign that said “FRE”. He ran out of room for the other e. Snicker…..  I hope the food finds a good home. It’s another one of those moments that make me feel lighter and freer 🙂 Now what’s in the cupboards is food I actually want to eat. For me, since I have lived here, free food has been more of a burden than a blessing. As I said to Heather….why would I waste my carbs eating a can of corn when I could eat that many carbs of ice cream? 😛
Fletcher and Porter brought their favorite Christmas presents for me to see. Fletcher got a Batman Batmobile Lego set. Porter has this thing full of clams. It turns in circles and clams open and shut. The object is to catch all the clams by fishing for them,
A creepy thing is my leaky leg. I wore my fleece lined leather slippers out to the lobby when I was talking to people. When I got home, the whole inside heel area was soaked and so was the leather. I had no idea my leg was leaking that fast! Eeeeeewwww!!!!!
What excitement will tomorrow bring? Olive has the right idea. She has been napping by my side…..ignoring everything going on around her 🙂 Must be nice to sleep like that!
